Starting from the Dhauladhar mountain range in Dharamsala to the verdant tea estates in Palampur and the forts and temples spread across the district, Kangra has plenty of places to visit and things to do.
A lot of popular cuisines and handicrafts come from Kangra region/district. Local delicacies like Dham, Madra, Siddu, Tudkiya Bhath, and handicrafts like Kangra paintings, wood carvings, Tibetan thangkas, pottery, metal crafts and handloom to name a few, make Kangra region/district one of the top destinations in North India.
Some of the popular tourist towns in Kangra region/district are Palampur, Dharamshala, Kangra town, McLeod Ganj, Bir-Billing, Andretta and Chamunda Devi. Very soon, tourists will be able to ride the Chamunda ropeway from Adi Himani Temple, located in Chander Bhan.

Each of these locations has its own distinctive specialties. For example, the town of Andretta could appear to be unexceptional from the outset, given its little size, yet guests run to this small town for their remarkable stoneware making. Additionally, Bir-Biling is the ultimate destination for adventurers. It isn’t known as the Paragliding Capital of India for no good reason.
Kangra is a Famous/popular tourist destination that offers a mix of culture, history, spirituality, and natural beauty, making it a must-visit place for anyone visiting H.P (Himachal Pradesh) or northern India.
